Truth be told… there are no secrets at all. You just need to know:

There are a plethora of marketers out there competing for the same market share. For example, several marketers are going to networks like Clickbank and promoting the same offers as everyone else.
Marketers are also leveraging some of the same traffic sources e.g., Facebook/Instagram, Solo Ads, Bing/Google Ads just to name a few. Unfortunately, 97% of these marketers fail with their online businesses.
So the question is… what are you going to do to a standout amongst the crowd? What will be unique about the marketing efforts you decide upon that will catapult you alongside the 3% that are crushing it?

First, let’s take a look at some basic fundamentals that most marketers neglect…
You see… most marketers are aware of the fundamentals, but just too darn lazy to follow through on them.
Let’s take the Los Angeles Lakers for example. I’m a huge Lakers fan and been one since the ’70s. Some of the most prominent players that played for the Lakers include, but not limited to Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kobe Bryant.
What was so unique about these players? What did they do so well that stood out amongst other NBA Players?
Magic Johnson – Well known for his perennial no-look, highlight film passing. Not to mention, a prominent scorer and rebounder too!
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – He mastered the sky-hook… his shot left his opponents defenseless. His dominance on the court yielded championships on every level.
Kobe Bryant aka Black Mamba – You can make the argument that he’s probably the greatest Laker ever! Known for his mamba-like mentality. He was relentless on the court… defended the best players with the desire to destroy his opponents. This dude was unconscious from anywhere on the court… first one in and the last one out the gym. I’m sure you can agree the Lakers made the right decision retaining Kobe over Shaq.
So what’s the common denominator here? Sure, they’re all unique and brought something special to the game of basketball …but the common denominator here is they all understood the fundamentals of the game.
More importantly, they did the work necessary everyone else was unwilling to do that contributed to their success.
Affiliate Marketing is no different. Ya see, one of the reasons why lots of marketers fail is because most successful marketers make it appear so easy to make money online by only highlighting the fruits of their labor just to sell you something. They neglect to elaborate on the grind it took to get them there.

Now when it comes down to traffic and acquiring leads for your business… the most effective technique to get noticed and develop comradery with potential customers is with video.
Don’t get me wrong… utilizing photos in your marketing campaigns, etc… can still be effective, however, a video is far more engaging.
Video has two advantages over photos… movement & noise! Both of these elements play a significant role when conveying our message. Studies have suggested that the average viewer of video remembers 95% of a message when watched as opposed to only 10% when read.

In short, video creation is the most effective technique used today to engage your audience and promote products and services online… and if you’re not using video in your business – it’s never too late to start!

Now, here’s a gray area where I wish someone would have told me the importance of having a mentor.
As an entrepreneur, we can agree that it’s exciting to go it alone and create something special for yourself. However, the reality is that you may not know exactly what you should be doing to get results.
Hence, we start experimenting – buying product after product and ultimately conforming to shiny object syndrome for help along the way… only to get disappointed because nothing we buy seems to work!
The reality here is simple… you’re either going to spend the money now (going down this rabbit hole alone) or later (when you continue to struggle)! Save yourself a ton of time and money and find someone now that you know, like and trust, which is also getting the results you desire and see if they offer some form of mentorship or coaching program.
Let me be clear… you don’t need to pay someone to do all the work for you simply because you’ll never learn the business – besides, you’ll always rely on someone else for your success. But hey… if that’s how you wanna roll then so be it!
“Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day – Teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime”.
Did you know that most, if not all successful marketers have been mentored or influenced by someone else who played the game on a much higher playing field?
Let me give you some other reasons why you should acquire a mentor or better yet some coaching to help boost your business.
- Mentors can provide a wealth of knowledge – when I first started Internet Marketing, I had no clue what a squeeze page was… nonetheless how to convert leads into buyers. A mentor would have enabled me to shorten the learning curve and got me up to speed much faster.
- Mentors find ways to stimulate our personal and professional growth – My mentor, whom I will reveal to you later… taught me the importance of setting goals. More importantly, has taught me techniques to having the right mindset to circumvent adversity and reap what I sow. My current success is in direct proportion to the core values that my mentor has instilled in me.
- Mentors have connections – My mentor has generated millions in the internet marketing industry… and along the way has formulated a plethora of connections. It is through is reputation and marketing experience that I have been able to leverage some of the same connections that I otherwise would have never received on my own.
- Mentors hold you accountable – Being an entrepreneur can be challenging, especially when it comes to self-motivation and self-discipline. My mentor is very vocal and expresses constant reminders about being responsible for my own actions. Even with all my success… my mentor can still count on me to thrive in this business despite all the noise and distractions along the way.
Attracting the right mentorship/coaching is priceless when it comes to taking your skills to the next level. That same mentorship/coaching is invaluable even if starting out as a newbie for the first time.
Though I’ve had some success on my own… if I’d acquired my training at the embryo stages of starting a business, it is no doubt in my mind I’d be further along in my career with significant less out-of-pocket expenses.
Keep in mind, acquiring help is not a sign of weakness… it shows how smart and determined you are to go from where you are in your current situation to your desired destination.

So again, there’s really no secret to becoming a successful affiliate marketer. Being successful requires a lot of work, research, and due diligence. Don’t be lazy!! Do the work that goes unnoticed to stand out amongst the competition.
In the same way… you need tools and resources that will enable you to work more efficiently with your business. If nothing else, you should at be leveraging video to obtain customers and build relationships.
